September 12, 2005 - We're proud to say that our CVC 75th Anniversary Gala Reunion was a huge success! There was an eclectic mix of old and new members, execs, and friends, all bound by one simple thread - CVC!

Our most revered guest was our president from 1941. And there were 20 presidents present in total! It was an amazing event filled with special stories and CVC pride.

CVC. Established 1930. 75 years...and counting!

The Chinese Varsity Club (CVC) began with only eight members in 1930. Over the years, the club grew, evolved and became one of the largest and most popular social clubs at UBC. Today, CVC prides itself on being truly multicultural, with a membership and executive reflecting the diversity of UBC. In 2005, CVC will celebrate its 75th anniversary.

CVC is honouring its long history with a commemorative event: the CVC 75th Anniversary Gala. This unique event is a celebration and a reunion, bringing together for the first time the different generations of CVC. Our goal is to find representatives from every year of CVC, reaching as far back into CVC history as possible.

Creating a celebratory, social atmosphere for its participants, the Gala aims to reunite friends, create new relationships, inspire past and present execs, retell stories, remind us of great accomplishments and changes over the years, and celebrate a truly remarkable event: CVC's 75th Anniversary.
